ou_sas v. Pongotwist
I'm going to try and break down my thinking here for one of my recent games. I may start doing this for all of my games (or as many as I have time for), just to see if I can't start noticing trends and figuring better ways to play out.
I've annotated my thoughts about the positions in the above game. In analyzing things, I found how disjointed my attacks seem. The instant one move was countered, I switched to another line of attack. I realize now that I don't have an over-arching goal (such as mount a sustained queen-side attack) in my progression, and while tactically I am sound, strategically, I am quite lacking. It's something that I will try and continue to explore as I do more of these analyses.
