History of Chess
Chess was born in India in early 600 A.D. India was ruled by Great Hindu Maharajas. Chess was played by plain stones which was then carved as elephant and horses.
Elephant being a part of Indian Heritage and a key member of any battlefield, Chess has considered Elephant a part of it.
Chess is always considered as "Maharajas Game". It was not commercialised then. The game was always played between Maharaja, Queen,Prince, Princess and the close member of the Royal Family.
Chess indirectly teaches the Prince and Ministers to strategies and plan for any battlefield. It was a mandatory and religious game for Maharajas to play with the family.
