Chess is a game of Heroes.
Yes. Chess is a game of personalities and heroes. It is always a good idea to emulate a chess player's style. Who are my heroes? Well, Danny Rensch, Simon Williams, Thomas Rendle and Melikset Khachiyan of chess.com of course! I think Danny Rensch must be in the list of America’s Top Ten living Humorists. I am in the list of Britain’s Top Ten living Humorists. Heroes must be living persons. Only in chess do we have deceased heroes because their heroic deeds on the chessboard are forever recorded. Don’t worry, Danny and myself have no intention of kicking the bucket anytime soon! Now you have a new hero, me! Dr Paul Mills. So for all my fans I include another short Kings Gambit (as black). Amazingly, Melikset has just posted a new series of videos on chess.com on the Schliemann Gambit. This is very close to what I play so I am sure to learn a lot. So for my fans, who wish to copy my style as Black, I can give no clearer recommendation than to watch Melikset’s Schliemann videos. Thank you for your (polite) comments.

The King is an attacking piece. Affirmative ICG! (Incredible Chess Games!)
The King is an attacking piece! This is especially true in the endgame of course. Often a King in the centre can easily win the game. But! Why not use the King in the centre in the middle game! Here is a game which shows the value of a strong centre. In fact this is a rare case of a central island of pieces. The white player is able to attack the island from the side, the front and the rear and the position still maintains cohesion and strength. All black's pieces in the centre are on dark squares and white does not have a white square bishop. The black K is safe on the third rank exerting influence on squares. Hang on to your hats for the following exciting game! Affirmative Incredible Chess Games (ICG)
