2nd day in tournament-2023年上海市第八届学生智力运动会-国际象棋团体赛

Today, I took part in the championship for the 2nd day, if you want to know more, see my other blog 1st day.

Here are the four games I played today:

4th: I played the Caro-Kann Defense and my opponent gave away his d-pawn in the opening, leading to catastrophe in the end game.

5th game: I played the London System for the first time and got such a great position that my opponent wanted a draw (that I declined), but then I got myself into a terrible position and lost the game.

Summary: The opening was awesome, in the Middlegame I didn't know how to attack and let Black make it an even position, in the Endgame... Well, I did terrible calculations (probably because of the low time pressure I was having at that time)

6th game: I lost, again due to missing calculations.

7th game: A BRILLIANT MOVE!!!
