Create Tournaments
To create a tournament on Chess.com, you'll need to be a Premium member and meet certain criteria. Specifically, you need a win ratio of at least 10% and a timeout ratio of no more than 15%. If you want to create a Live (Bullet, Blitz, or Rapid) tournament, you must also be a Coordinator, Admin, or Super Admin of a Club.
Here's how to create a tournament:
- Navigate to the "Tournaments" section: Hover over "Play" on the left side menu and select "Play" from the appearing menu. Then, click on "Tournaments".
- Choose "Create": In the tournaments popup window, click on "Create".
- Select Tournament Type: Choose whether you want to create a Live (Bullet, Blitz, Rapid) or Daily tournament.
- Set Tournament Details: Fill in the tournament name, time control, start date, and other options.
- Invite Players (Optional): If creating a private tournament, you can invite players or groups.
- Confirm and Launch: Review your tournament details and launch the tournament.
