
Pawn Snatch & Two Layers of Luck
Last week in the Slow Chess League I won two games in very different fashions. In the first one, after my opponent blundered a pawn on move 3 (or perhaps, played an exteremly dubious gambit) I kept grabbing pawns until the game transformed into 'Exchange Chess': White wants to exchange pieces and Black wants to avoid that at all costs. In the second game I was doubly lucky: my opponent blundered and resigned on the spot when I was prepared to go into a deep tactical line that was losing for me.
