The Ruy López Opening

This is the Ruy López Opening:

White starts with the common e4 opening:

Then black responds with e5, the second most common first move for black in master games (the most common is c5):

This is followed by Nf3 and Nc6:

The last move is Bb5:

Then it can become the Ruy López Opening: Morphy Defense:

The Ruy López Opening: Berlin Defense:

Or the Ruy López Opening: Jaenisch Gambit:

There are many more but these are the three most common.

This used to be my favorite opening. Now it is the Italian Game.
