Starting chess: first lessons

What I discovered: 

  • Opening basic rules make a real difference: control center, secure King, do not let pieces sleep by only moving a few
  • Training and not just playing. Let us say I have 1 hour to play. Instead of facing opponents, getting coaches lessons via the app, studying games once played make a real difference
  • Openings. It is not about learning them by heart, it is just about not doing basic mistakes and losing pieces. Openings prevent bad mistakes. A lot of people studied them, no need to reinvent them at each game
