I try and make progress by playing bots. I usually won with bot opponents at 1200 elo. And then I found why: traveling back in time once they do a great move to undo my mistake. 

With time travel and undo bad moves

  • I so won, I am so good
  • Oh, bot did that, so clever. Let us brute force and find a great move by tempting them all

Without time travel

  • Should I do it ? Sounds good but... Yeah.... No.... Come on, it has been 7 minutes... How about moving my first piece ?
  • Winning bots around 900 is not so easy, finally. Funny, it is closer to my "real humans" ELO competeition score

New undo policy 

To improve: 

  • I only undo moves when facing the trainer
  • I play bots more often and I cannot undo moves anymore
