Reality. . . Reeeaally?

What is truth?  What is reality?  I have a friend who says that mathematics, when you reach a certain level, is subjective art, but art is not objective mathematics.  We must be comfortable with the "or" and the paradox.  After all, according to the poet Milosz, Little animals from cartoons, talking rabbits, doggies, squirrels, as well as ladybugs, bees, grasshoppers. They have as much in common with real animals as our notions of the world have with the real world. Think of this, and tremble.
