Azerbaijani Grandmaster Shakhriyar "Shak" Mamedyarov is one of my favorite active players.

His highest ELO rating was 2820, which makes him the sixth-highest-rated player in chess history. But more important than that, his uncompromised style is what makes him unique.

That’s why choosing to analyze this game against Belgian Grandmaster Daniel Dardha was not a hard task. The 2 met last year at the European Club Cup in Durrës, Albania.
