Openings - All you need to know about them
OPENINGS also known as the starting of the game. There are many, many openings , inside openings there are Gambits. A gambit is an opening move which sacrifices something ( usually a pawn ).There are close to 600 Gambits ! But , back to topic Openings.
At the start of the game you make 20 possible moves so there’s not a whole chance you mess up the first move but , after the first move there are 72,000 moves to make so choose wisely , after that 9 million moves and so on …
Now on to Openings , there are many opening choices to choose from you can choose the Scotch Gambit , Vienna Gambit , Ruy Lopez ( you have to be high rated for this), Queen’s Gambit , King’s Gambit , Catalan , London System and The Nimzowitch Larsen Attack for white and the Caro Kann , Sicillian Defence, King Indian Attack, and the England Gambit for black
If you wish to master the art of the opening you must learn the value of pawns.
Pawns are very important as they provide shield to your king and they can promote themselves to a queen. You must learn how to position your pawns.
Next, we must learn the art of variations in each opening , there are a handful of variations.
Eg: Caro Kann Tal Variation , Four Knights Scotch Variation , etc.
Now we have come to the time where we must choose our opening.
If you are an aggressive player choose Vienna Gambit , Danish Gambit or King’s Gambit.
If you are a calm player who can play out your opponent in tight positions choose Queen’s Gambit , The Catalan , and the Four Knights
If you are a player who seeks for a very slight advantage or a good position even if it’s complex choose The Ruy Lopez , The Ponzioni and the Scotch for white.
Choose the King’s Indian Attack , or the Scandinavian Defence if you are aggressive
Choose the Alekine’s Defence or the Caro Kann if you want a systematic opening and
Choose the Pirc or Sicillian Defence if you want a complex but solid opening.
But above all come’s The…BONGCLOUD who agrees with me thank you 🤩
