My 17th Game of the 2013/14 Season - Another Loss with the Black Pieces

Last week on Wednesday 5th Feb I played on board 5 for my club's first team and I got the black pieces. Not much luck recently with black after going 51 and a half weeks without a loss with black this is the 3rd in a row. Not good really... but I'll always post up all my games not just the good ones, it's good to look back on.

This hasn't been put through an engine so if anyone has any constructive analysis they'd like to add/comment please feel free as I need to raise my game with black bigtime. Haven't had any QID unfortunately or even a Nimzo recently so I'm getting all those positions with white using 1.b3 instead! My opponent was graded 139 ECF (3 higher than me) but was 143 (1794) in the last list in July where he was 21 ECF higher. So a more experienced player but I should have held this to a draw but far too many blunders from me lol

So a loss. But as a team we won and at the end of the day that's the most important thing.  - BOTH of my club's teams are looking at being promoted and it's been nice racking up loads of points and helping my team but against all these stronger players I'm facing I'm not gonna be on razor-sharp form all the time and I am still only an intermediate level player learning... I'll continue to improve - my next game that I played today (11th Feb) is proof and will be uploaded ASAP.
