The King's Gambit - Crazyness with the Black Pieces!!

The King's Gambit is truely the Pandora's Box of chess openings - because you really don't know what is going to happen... It is very easy to stray from the theory and for this reason, almost every King's Gambit is as unique as the next, and that's what makes this opening so exciting at my level.

The game below was from a turn-based game of mine where I had the black pieces, so I should have been defending... right!?....

Despite the game being only 12 moves, there were countless mistakes and blunders, I even made a blunder, but I'm not highlighting the mistakes in the game, because that would distract from the beauty of seeing what happens when you walk off the trodden path (stray from the theory) ... Smile

So is there any message here?... Not particularly, just it's usually a good idea to stick to a well-known theoretical variation during the opening phase of the game to avoid being on the recieving end of a devestating attack... I believe this is true not just for wild openings such as this one, but most openings, as they all contain tricks and traps that the unsuspecting player can fall victim to if they are unprepared!
