Basic Opening Principle

A)Control the Center

This is the most important idea that we must use in our game.In all the opening will have this 4 main tips.Lets see about how to do it.

A)Control the center 

How you can control the center?

Starting of the game you can move e4 to control the center.

What is the benefits of controlling the center?


Now if you are white you can control c5,d5,e5, and f5 squares.But black can control only b4 and g4 squares.Now we saw about pawns in center.Lets see about pieces in center.

Now whites knight can move to Ng6,Ng4,Nf7,Nf3,Nd7,Nd3,Nc6,Nc4 becouse the knight placed in center.Lets see what will happen if the knight is not placed in center.

Now the whites knight can move to Nh5,Nf5,Ne6 and Ne8.The knight can move to 4 squares only.In previous diagram the whites knight can move to 8 squares.
B)Develop the Pieces
We must develop with minor pieces.Minor pieces are knight and Bishop.
For example,
This is the perfect setup for very beginning.

C)King Safety

Meaning of King Safety is place the king in safe places that protected by some pawns not in open area.

For example,

Now the king in g1 protected by rook in f1 to avoid back rank mate,f2,g2,h2, pawns and knight on f3 and Bf4 is supporting the h2 pawn to avoid checkmate with Queen and Bishop.Normally we can checkmate with Queen and Bishop in h2 file with a beginner.So the formation will helps beginner to avoid this kind of checkmates.

D)Connect the Rooks(Move the Queen)

This will helps you to strong up the back rank.

This diagram shows two rooks are connected.

If you use this opening principle,you wont be checkmated in 5 or 10 moves unless you didnt make mistake in your opening.
