Meet Arjun Erigaisi, the young chess sensation from India who’s been making waves in the chess world. Born on September 3, 2003, in Warangal, Telangana, Arjun started playing chess at the age of five. His talent was quickly recognized, and his family moved to Europe to help him pursue his chess career.

Early Beginnings
Arjun's chess journey began when he was just a little kid, and it didn't take long for him to start making waves. By the age of 10, he was already a master, and at 14, he became the youngest Grandmaster in the history of both India and Telangana.

Rising Star
Arjun's ascent in the chess world was remarkable. In 2021, he became the first Indian to qualify for the Goldmoney Asian Rapid of the Champions Chess Tour. He also placed second at the Junior U21 Round Table Open Chess Championship and third at the Lindores Abbey Blitz Tournament. His performance in these tournaments earned him recognition as one of the top young players in the world.

World Championship Challenger
In 2022, Arjun won the Tata Steel Chess 2022 Challengers, qualifying him to play in the masters section in the next Tata Steel Chess tournament.
