10 lessons from Start Where You Are by Pema Chödrön

1. Embrace your weaknesses and flaws. We all have them, and trying to hide them or pretend we don't is only going to make us unhappy. Instead, accept yourself for who you are, and learn to love your imperfections.

2. Don't try to avoid your pain. Pain is a natural part of life, and trying to avoid it will only make it worse. Instead, learn to accept your pain and work through it. This will help you to become stronger and more compassionate.

3. Be present in the moment. Don't dwell on the past or worry about the future. Instead, focus on the present moment and appreciate it for what it is.

4. Let go of attachment. Attachment to people, things, and ideas is the root of suffering. When we let go of attachment, we are free to be happy and content.

5. Be kind to yourself and others. Compassion is essential for a happy and fulfilling life. Be kind to yourself and others, even when it's difficult.

6. Live an ethical life. When we act ethically, we create a more harmonious world for ourselves and others.

7. Don't take yourself too seriously. Learn to laugh at yourself and your shortcomings. This will help you to lighten up and enjoy life more.

8. Be grateful for what you have. It's easy to focus on the things we don't have, but it's important to remember all the good things in our lives. Take some time each day to appreciate your blessings.

9. Don't be afraid to ask for help. We all need help from time to time. If you're struggling, reach out to a friend, family member, or therapist.

10. Trust the process. Life is a journey. Life is a journey, and there will be ups and downs along the way. Trust that the journey is taking you where you need to be.

Hope it can help you, as you prepare to face 2024. Always Remember, Play, Learn and Have Fun. START WHERE YOU ARE
