(in)ability to play

I can't type messages in the chat box on the side of the board, and now it's taking 10+ attempts for me to push a move through. I'm not using my own computer so I can't control its internal settings, but I've played on this comp before and it worked fine. Has something changed on chess.com or is my computer losing its mind?
