Openings: Sicilian Defense
Introduction
e4, c5
the Sicilian defense is one of the BIG 5 openings, for more advanced players - most players don't know what that is...
The Secret
The move you want to fight for in the Sicilian defense is d5.
To get this move in, there might be quite a fight. To help you with this, here are some tips:
The Blunder Check:
1. Is My Move Safe?
2. Is My King Safe?
3. Does My Opponent Have Any Tactics?
4. What Are The Consequences Of My Move?
5. Is Everything Else Okay?
C C T Q:
The first "C" stands for Checks - Look for checks
The Second "C" stands for Captures - Look for captures
The "T" stands for threats - Look out for threats and for threats
The "Q" is not always there, and may be unfamiliar to some people, if they know CCT, so the "Q" stands for Queen - look where and what threats the opponents queen and your queen can go and do.
Those are some tips to get the move "d5" in. After that you are good, or in other words, you are winning. ( Unless you sacfricied a queen to do it or something but you know what I mean ) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Other
Play how you usually do, develop castle, and get a rook into play early
Put your rook on open or if not half open file ( If there are any )
Get your queen into play, however, don't do this in the opening. ( Middle game & End game is when )
