Learning all over again

I have been using chessmaster lately to remember chess, or rather study it from the start. I have been doing all the drills and listening to everything they have to offer. Of course I am still at the beginning, but it's fun to sort of follow a course.

I have completed some drills for checkmate, and wasn't so bad at finding it. The problem is that if it hadn't been a drill, I wouldn't have looked at all for a checkmate, so I would miss them in a real game. Lesson learned: really look before you move. You never know... That goes for defence as well.

After I finish that course, I am hitting the books.
