Round 2: Game of the Round FM Bryan Lin(2389) vs GM Awonder Liang(2701)

In the middlegame of this game, FM Bryan slowly and steadily outplayed Awonder, and was maybe even looking to get the dub on this one. However, the move 32. a4 by Bryan was a mistake, allowing black's queen to come to b4 and blockade white's queenside majority. Then they almost went for a draw, but Awonder declined it! Then again, on move 53, Bryan, with low time, played Qd1, allowing Awonder to play Qa2 and put some nagging pressure on f2 and white's queenside pawns. Instead, Awonder played 53. Qb2?? allowing Bryan to snag the pawn on f3. Then the game turned into a time scramble, and with low time for Bryan, he still found brilliant sacrifices such as Nc4!! and Rf7!!, which eventually led the game to a three-fold repetition.
