Are the hypermodern openings better than classical openings for black?
After playing with both classical and hypermodern openings with black, I feel that the hypermodern openings work best when playing with black pieces.
In classical openings, black will be concentrating on obtaining equality whereas in hypermodern openings, black will be trying to obtain a very solid position which is flexible and which yields a lot of counterplay.
My experience playing with black pieces has taught me that maintaining flexibility and trying to obtain counterplay is better than just trying for equality with black pieces.
What do all of you say about it?
Have you all tried with hypermodern openings which helps you win with black?
Waiting to hear from you all.
