King's Indian Defense: Repertoire 2/3 : Mar Del Plata Vs Bayonet attack. Model game
When we study KID, and when we play KID as black, white has a very reliable resource in the form of Bayonet attack. Black mostly want to play Mar Del Plata.
What happens when Bayonet attack clashes against Mar Del Plata. It really gets interesting. And when the player playing the KID is none other than Hikaru Nakamura, you will get not a game, but a great artistic experience.
So I am presenting a game between two legends, Vaselin Topalav vs Hikaru Nakamura. A dynamic, swashbuckling thrilling piece of art.
Hikaru Nakamura loves KID and a frequently plays it.
One thing we should learn that computers do not know KID.
Sacrifices are one of the common tactics in KID.
There is one beautiful lesson by GM Simon Williams in lessons section. I recommend every KID player to go through these videos. Here again GM Simon has taken example of Hikaru only. The link is given here.
