King's Indian Defense: Repertoire 2/1 : White's perspective: Bayonet attack.
Dear all,
We till this time has covered KID: Classical variation with one model game, and then Mar Del Plata variation played by black with one model game. But whenever we want to study some opening, it is necessary that we should learn for both sides. So today we are going to have a look on Bayonet attack, a weapon used by white to face KID.
Let us see the first few classical moves.
This b4 move starts bayonet attack. The key idea behind this move is to start attacking the base of black's pawn base at d6 with quick c5. Once the d6 pawn falls, e5 will fall and so on. The c file will open and white can infiltrate along c file.
Having discussed the basic theme, we will see a model game on this line next time.
