I wanted to share what I think may come as a surprise to some if not many.

I'm not sure about you but I do use the chess.com accuracy score to measure  how well I play. It's fast and easy and so far I do believe that I've always seen the winner have a higher score (except for some odd game).

How to get a 95+ score!

I do not know how well you play but receiving over 90 in accuracy is not something I manage in most of my games. This makes it so much sweeter when I do.

I feel like I did good, played well, progressing, improving and so on.

but is this true?

How to get high accuracy the easy way!

How to do it you ask,

find an opponent that play simple chess and sprinkles the game with somewhat bad (and most important, not challenging) moves!

A lot of times my highest accuracy is not something I see in the games where I felt I calculated a lot, found amazing twists and turns or saved myself in odd positions.

Rather, the most boring and easiest to play games.

This when one think about it do seem like that most logical way to get high accuracy doesn't it?

An example game where I played white with my tried and tested London System

I made one real blunder in one quite easy played game but still cashed in an almost 96% accuracy score.

I will share another game with the opposite effect for comparison (low score) and to illustrate what can affect your accuracy score.

Accuracy Score Good or Bad?

I do like the score though. One will have to do some meditating over what it actually tells you and how it can be used. You do not need a high score to win but most often one that is higher than your opponent.

This should not come as a surprise either.

But do stop for a second and look at all the other information the analyses gives you!

There's a lot of ugly truths hidden in there!
