Setting up a team/group

Over the New Year holiday I created two teams/groups and I am now trying to persuade a few kind people to join regardless of chess ranking. The teams are St. Paul and Minneapolis. The intention is to create a friendly cross river tournament and rivalry.

Why? When trying to find a team to join, I seemed lost without my real world connection. Although I joined the Team USA: Northwest, which apparently includes our frozen tundra, reality set in when I realized there is no way a currently (ever the optimist) sub-par player like me could really add value to the discussion or team.

Of course I already discovered I can’t challenge a team I administer. So already I am foiled in my plot.

If you have read this far, please consider joining. And if you are from the “other” side of the river, consider taking ownership of Minneapolis.
