Openings recommendation (400-1500)

Hi i am siddharth, This is my first blog recommending the opening for you to reach the higher rating you want. Opening plays a vital role and paves the way for the game in certain direction maybe it would be positional like in queens gambit or aggressive game like in vianna gambit. Here is below my recommendation as i experienced while growing up the ladder.

1- london system 

2- playing against london system with c5 break

3- caro kann

4- Fantasy variation against caro kann 

5- vianna gambit (falkbeer variation) 

6- Queens gambit 

7- Queens gambit declined 

so, Now lets see examples of each one individually . Here note that i am not going into extreme line for lines i will post blog soon under the category respectively. Below are my personal best  matches 

1- london system -(400-900)

london system work great between above elo range also there is trap called greek gift which many people fall below 900. This system will help you understand piece positioning at beginner level. So as a new player this should be your first opening.

once you start understanding the position where pieces belong in opening you will get higher accuracies.

2- Playing against london (accepatble at any rating)

One of important part of chess is understanding that what your learning can be same a repratoir for some one else so you should be ready to face the same. Here if some one plays london with you, You should be aware of c5 break.

3- Caro kann (800 and above)

Caro is most solid opening and very hard to beat if you know how to manoeuvre your pieces. This will greatly help you above 1000. I am 1580 and i myself play caro kann as a black.

4- Fantasy variation against caro kann (>1200)

Caro is slow yet strong opeining and to break the structure we need to understand some concept that when centre pawn faces each other its not always necessary to take it or advance it . Here fanatsy  variation plays a important role in this.

5- vianna gambit-(1000- above)

vianna is most aggressive opening the piece activity speaks for itself in vianna. If you want to get above 90% accuracy vianna is you brother then.

6-Queens gambit(800-1200)

Queens gambit is most famous opening and one of best positional plays comes from here. It is great in range of 800-1200 while once your familier with more line queens gambit can be seen at GM level also.

7-Queens gambit declined (above 800)

So for strong opening like queens gambit there shoould be a opening to counter attack it which is declined variation of it.

With opening you should understand some basic concept like castling king safety and piece activity make all your pieces active and in game. This  will surely help you in growing faster
