# FREE Tactics Book

Tactics Time is the name of Tim Brennan and Anthea Carson's tactics book based on the games of class players. The idea behind the book is to show tactics that have arisen and were either missed or found during real games. What I like about this is the fact that they are messy and odd looking. Often in a real game I am looking for the pretty kind I see in Reinfeld's books, so I miss the ones that are really there. It reminds me of the difference between the math problems you get in a college class versus the ones you would encounter in a real world math problem. Ideal math problems have nice neat solutions. Real world math problems are messy, often unsolveable or have ugly, irrational numbers as solutions. Tactics time has 1001 chess problems in it, and clickable links to see the actual games they came from. In addition, it is only available on Kindle for $4.99 at present, but will be coming out in paperback for $16.95. Snap it up now while it is free.
