Despair to the Hundredth Power: Dortmund R2

I'm much more than depressed at the moment, as you can tell by the title:

The Battle of the Germans between Naiditsch and Nisipeanu turned into failure for Naitisch, whom I was completely expecting to win.

The Battle of the Sexes between Hou and Kramnik turned into a point for Kramnik, whom I was expecting to have to succumb to a draw.

The Battle of the Americans turned into another depressing defeeat for Fabiano Caruana... which was not entirely unexpected, but... (maybe he should ask MVL about this whole streak thing...?). Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm not happy about So getting a point back from yesterday.

And then there's the game that I can't title without alluding... Nepom and Meier drew, something that I actually was somewhat happy about, even though I'm not really rooting for either of them.

At least no one has started 0/2 (is this supposed to be good or what?), but Nisipeanu has a surprising 2/2... of course that doesn't mean he's going to win this (though I doubt he will find much of an opponent in anyone else, especially since Fab has a hard time with outsiders... though as a last resort, one would always have to say "Kramnik").

My favourite game of the tournament will certianly not be from Round 2. Oh, pity.
