Carlsen Neutralized on Birthday in 2021 World Chess Championship Game 4

The 2021 World Chess Championship continued on November 30 between Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi after a rest day. The significance of this game taking place on November 30 is that Carlsen was playing on his 31st birthday. Many chess players have such busy schedules that even celebrating their birthday is a rarity. However, Carlsen is probably used to this by now. In 2020, Carlsen lost to Wesley So in the final of the Skilling Open on his birthday. However, Carlsen was coming off of successes in the previous World Chess Championship and Tata Steel India Rapid & Blitz events when on his birthdays in 2018 and 2019. Thus, it is unclear whether Carlsen playing on his birthday is a blessing or a curse for him. For the second day in a row, the players made a fairly uninteresting draw after 33 moves, keeping the match tied at 2-2. Here is the game with my annotations:

Here is my YouTube video of the analysis:

Overall, this game was a disappointment for Carlsen, who may have to switch away from 1.e4 as Nepomniachtchi showed that he was extremely well prepared in the Petrov. However, Nepomniachtchi may also have to switch things up in tomorrow's game from his choice of the Ruy Lopez in his first two games with the White pieces. So far, it seems that both players have struggled to get an advantage with White. Do you think that will continue? Let me know in the comments.
