The moderators are top-notch.
For the last few weeks there has been a sudden surge in provisional players joining tournaments and beating everyone. Well, beating everyone by cheating. Due to this my ELO has gone from a nice average 1800 to a mid 1600.
When a player is dominating a tournament, I will go through his game history and run them through infinite analysis in fritz or shredder, watch the top 3 moves for the move they are about to make. If it seems consistent, I report them. And chess.com moderators always have a nice quick turn-around and boot them. It's never been more than 24 hours between a report and a suspension
A few things I've noticed that is a dead giveaway of an engine:
- Crazy knight movement
- King movement early in the game
- A delay when the king is in check and has only 1 move.
- A delay when there is a forced trade
- High standard rating, low <= 5 minute blitz
Anyway, thank your local admin.
