Defending the Wayward Queen Attack
The Wayward Queen Attack is supposed to earn a rook. There are 2 ways it can happen.
1. Black plays g6
2. Black ignores the queen and the pawn, and blocks check with bishop
Don't do these and you're all set! But, if you defend the pawn, you might see this.

Also, you can stop the offense, and turn it into yours. This might sound crazy, but...
Qf6. Don't ask. You're asking anyway? Alright then. Qf6 defends two pawns, which are the pawns that are on the most wanted list for White's queen.
How to use the Wayward Queen Attack
If they defend their pawn, you can respond like this:
Y'know, sacrifice the pawn to cause mayhem and throw black's pawns like baseballs.
