Lesson 1: Moving the pieces

Hello Everybody today let's show you how to move the pieces.

first there's a pawn.

Pawns can move 1 or 2 spaces the first time they moved, but they can only move 1 square afterward. They capture one space diagonally forward.

Next, a Knight.

Knights are helpful pieces who can jump over pieces, and they move 2 squares, then turn 90 degrees (or to the side) in either direction and move 1 space after that.

A bishop moves diagonally however many spaces it wants to.

And a rook goes up, down, left or right however many spaces it wants.

But a queen is the most powerful, and can move like a bishop or a rook

And a King just moves one square in any direction.

So now you know how to move the pieces. Thank you for reading
