Amazing endgame skill game at Redcliffe Chess Club tournament!
This legendary game happened at a competitive tournament down at Redcliffe chess club were I demonstrated my amazing endgame skills against my worthy opponent Jason Zhang. The game began with Sicilian in which it transposed to french exchange variation, as we continued the game all the material had been chopped off but my pawns. We were both on 50 mins and I was figuring out how to win this game. 30 mins passed in my clock and I came to the conclusion in trying that I needed to get my opponent into a zugzwang were he has no good moves available and the only way in allowing this to happen was to allow his king allowing him to move his king further up the board, he missed the fact that now his king is up the board it allows f4 check forcing him to take and move back allowing me to play b4 then shock him with the great move kf2 creating distant opposition and putting him in a zugzwang at this moment I look over to my clock and see I have 5 minutes so I play quick and accurate and at the end force my opponent to move his past pawn as is king is cornered off and pawn promoted to the rook for a beautiful mate in round 5 of the R.C.C chess tournament!
