15th Paleochora International Chess Tournament has started!
Hello Everyone, it's been a long time! As many of you know, after more than half a year, I am currently on a very strong over the board tournament between the 17th and 24th July, in Paleochora, Crete. Will you root for me?
It is a classical tournament, the time control is 90 minutes + 30 seconds/move, and after move 40 we also get 15 minutes (Normally, we would get 30 minutes after move 40, so my time-troubled heart is a bit sad ). The rounds start at 6PM EEST (UTC +3), which is quite late, but since the tourney takes place in Greece, where the weather is extremely hot during the day, then it's not that bad after all.
(We are in an elementary school, and I have got a whole Hungarian flag only for myself!)
We have had 3 rounds already, but since the first day I woke up extremely early, at 4:45AM *oh boy* to catch the plane, and I had been travelling all day, and the second day we had double rounds, I did not have the time to write earlier, but now I will show you my first two games!
Probably the first round has the most surprises in the results, and it's because it is harder mentally than the others, since many times that's the day when you travel a lot to the tournament (which was my case), plus you have to attune your mind to chess.
