Inner West Swiss - Round 3

This blog follows my quest for an official FIDE rating.
In this crazy Ruy Lopez game I choose 9...Nb8, the Breyer variation. As we follow the main line I suddenly remember the game Unzicker vs Tal from 1960 http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1139504 in which Tal sacrifices a knight on d5 to open up an attack on the a1-h8 diagonal. After 4 straight draws, I am excited by the prospect of going for an attack and commit to following Tal's idea despite a few 'slight' variations from Unzicker's play by my 1843 FIDE rated opponent.
