I Beat A 2000 Rated Player In Just 3 Moves: Here’s How

Sometimes, chess is about deep calculations, long endgames, and brilliant tactics.
Other times… it’s just wierd.

Today, I logged onto Chess.com for some quick bullet games (keep in mind I’m 750 in bullet), and I challenged some streamers to 10 second games.

To my surprise, a streamer named LiveBlitzTwitch accepted my 10 second game. He is a strong player with a 1837 rapid rating, a 1950 bullet rating, over 2000 in blitz, and even higher in Chess960.

Here’s his account if you don’t believe me: https://www.chess.com/member/liveblitztwitch

And here’s the wild part:
He resigned after just 3 moves. Here’s the game. (Don’t pay attention to my bishop sacrifice. I was only trying to win on time.)

For reasons known only to the chess gods (or maybe his internet), LiveBlitzTwitch hit that resign button. Maybe he misclicked. Maybe he realized it wasn’t a Blitz game, and didn’t want to play.

Either way — it’s official.
I beat a 2000+ rated player (in Blitz)... in under 10 seconds... with only three moves.

GG.
