Blitz opening set-up for Black: Sicilian Kan Bc5,Qc7,h5
Today, I'd like to share an opening set-up in the Sicilian Kan for Black.
______________
Black is positioning 3 pieces to attack the white king, and will follow up with h7-h5 bringing the rook into play. the swords indicate where Black will launch the attack, we are not looking for an equal game. this is well suited for blitz games.
Here's how looking at the board from Black's perspective, I won a rated game on chess.com against a WGM in 19 moves !
you can replay the entire game here -> https://www.chess.com/live/game/4619453402
But obviously this system is used by top grandmasters especially in blitz.
Here's a key game from Judit Polgar who introduced this very sharp idea against Xie Jun
This was a while ago.
lets see how Anish Giri and Jeffery Xiong used a similar concept in Titled Tuesday blitz games this year
Giri used a similar idea starting with a6,Qc7,Nf6 and h7-h5 but then bringing his bishop to c5.
and of course Caruana has also played this with Black in a classical game to score the full point against a GM, the bishop on c5 retreated to a7 and Fabiano continued with 0-0-0!
