Now I didn't catch the action live but the Carlsen-Rapport game was insane. Here's the finish

Rapport could have forced a draw but tried to win and stumbled towards the end of the game. note that Magnus finds g8=Q !!  in 2 seconds and Rapport is stunned and dead lost,

Very complicated battle but Magnus squeezed several "technical wins" in Day 2, which was a major factor for his success.
