the kasparov plan.

let me explain with arrows

a direct attack where the queen goes to h5, then rook lift Rf3-h3 and threatening checkmate on h7.

of course, Black tries to defend, notably by playing h7-h5 at some point.

Here Anand with Black played h7-h5 as white cannot take en passant gxh6 because the bishop on e7 would take the queen on h4.

But Kasparov managed to break through with Bf3xh5. Was it all opening prep ?

Here's the game Kasparov-Anand - Linares 1994

today I managed to use this aggressive plan against my opponent. It was not the exact same position but close enough.

Here's the blitz game position where I am white  at an early stage

after Black moved the knight, I followed with f2-f4 then Qh5 then the rook life Rf3-h3.

This was played as part of the Team USA-Mexico official blitz match today.

Here's the link with the full details about my game

I am curious if you can access the forum post even if you are not a US Chess member. Feel free to post answer in comment, and let me know if you agree my game was inspired by the legendary Garry Kasparov even the final phase was different..

Thanks in advance !
