Random Thought: King's Indian Saemisch leads to the exact same position as the Maroczy Bind!
I was playing a game on ICC last night (ICC username thchozenOne) and this was how the first few moves went:
Then I realized that the exact same position can be reached from a completely different move order! In fact, from an opening I used to play as black, the Hyper-Accelerated Dragon!
But wait, there's more! Shortly after posting this blog, I remembered a game from my work that a fellow coach was analyzing a while back. It turns out, the positions above can also be reached from a Benoni move order!
