in this game after I win some material, the opponent first pushes pawns then tries to check his way out of his material problems.  once the checks stop he is toast

Chesss.Computer Assessment (deep)

20.  missed an opportunity.  better is a5.  A small decoy and now my queen isn't pinned and white can take the exchange

26.  missed an opportunity. better is Bb5.  the intermediate Bb5 threatens the queen and gives white initiative after he takes the Qside pieces.   White grabs those pieces nevertheless, but Bb5 is a "not to hard" to see improvement

46.  missed an opportunity.  better is Kc2 which gets out of the checks!   at this point I was in deep time trouble- but sometimes its better to use the time to solve the big problem rather than to sleep deeper in time debt.

Nonetheless I won! gaining rating & making not many blunders in a sharp and tricky opening.

I will warn you now- if you interested in deep philosophy or musings that I used to do,  this blog will now become something a little different.

this is to be a place for practical analysis of specific games.

could be pretty dull- but whatever it takes for me to play in a more aware manner
