Why the Reti is the best bullet opening.

Why the Reti is the best bullet opening.

If you are a low-rated 900 elo bullet player like me, then the Reti opening could work wonders for bullet games. If you are rated lower then me, it will work even better. Here are the 3 reasons that the Reti opening is so good for bullet:

1. e5

Your opponent could pre-move e5, and thats just a free pawn. Plus, if your opponent decides to attack the knight with pawn to f6, then you can do the brilliant move pawn to e3!

2. Tennison Gambit

You could also do the Tennison Gambit, which is my favorite gambit of all time. It goes like this:

I don't do that variation that much, instead I do this, as it works better, and you can recover your position easily if all goes wrong. (plus you can pre-move Nxg6 and Qxh8 to feel like Hikaru)

There is also another way to do it, which leads to checkmate if your opponent captures the queen and not the knight.

3. You can confuse your opponent.

If you are a lower rated bullet player, your opponent can waste seconds of precious time because they have no clue what this opening is.

I really hope this makes you better at bullet, and if you want an example, just look at me. If you look at my bullet games when I play white, its just Reti and Tennison gambit, nothing else. I think you should give it a try, and you are welcome!
