A return match

Having lost to young Harry Bowman (a shock defeat for me... still hurts!) in our rapidplay championship, I was drawn against Harry as black in the second round of our club championship at Daventry.

For some reason, I always seem to play better in a team event rather than an individual situation but having lost to Harry (yes, well done Harry... again...) previously, I was determined it wasn't going to happen again (not this season anyway!)

Harry is an U12 player at the moment and has been playing for our second team in the fourth division of the Leamington League. He's won 2 and lost just once out of the games he has played but since he's young and has lots of other interests, he hasn't been practising his chess as much as he'd have liked. In hindsight, this was great for me... as long as I could come up with the goods. Well, I outgrade him in standard play by a huge margin. So what could possibly go wrong?!

Find out for yourselves...
