I read Levy Rozman's How to Win at Chess cover to cover.  It is the only chess book that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading.  I wish it was the first chess book I read.  So many are difficult for beginners to follow.

The book is easy to follow with clear diagrams.  If you have watched him online, I would say that his voice really comes through in his writing.  He covers all the basics and introduces the study of openings in a refreshing way.  He starts you on the path with the first few moves with clear explanations and provides a plethora of exercises online that you can access with QR codes.

I am a new chess player only two years into this adventure, but I am a school teacher with over 30 years of experience.  I know good reading materials when I see them, and this book is a gem.
