ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hey guys! As you may know, I'm kinda high rated at this complex and addictive game we call chess at a solid enough rapid rating of 1800, so therefore I'd like to pass on my skills to other people who are lower rated than myself. And yes, I am referring to the art of coaching.

Am I fit for coaching, you may ask? Well I've taught one of my friends from time to time and he reached 1000 rapid. Sure, that may not be the greatest credential in the world, but I've already started coaching one of my best friends who has never played chess before and he seems to be picking it up very quickly, which reflects on the coaching. Plus I will start teaching children at my local library very soon, and I'll gain experience that way. Not to mention I have a wealth of chess knowledge, which is always quite helpful.

So why do I want to begin coaching? Two reasons. One, I want to pick up a little extra money before college cause that's helpful. Two, I love the game and I love spreading knowledge about the game, therefore, myself and coaching are a perfect fit. I may not have the pedigree of a master, but I do love the game to an insane degree and I love helping people in this craft. Plus I've been improving at a steady pace myself and I do have potential to be an expert within the decade.

Time for the meat. Since I've never actually coached outside my friends, I'm gonna do a trial sort of thing. The first three people who express interest, I will coach FOR FREE!!!!!!! That's right. I will coach you for absolutely no cost. Am I insane? Yes, but not in this sense. I don't care about the money for now as much as I care about the experience, and that's what I'm chasing after. When will I start coaching? Probably a viable time to start is in the first couple weeks of November, as I have to prepare (not to mention the fact that I am a high schooler and therefore already have a busier schedule) and make sure it's done right.

Who should I coach? Let's say anyone below 1100-1200 rapid is a good fit, especially if they're looking to improve in a quicker time. What are the benefits of hiring me as a coach? Well, for one thing, I'm young and relatable and have experience on gaining rating quick. I can identify common mistakes and help you improve them, such as opening preparation. Plus, you'll have someone who will help you improve FOR FREE!!!!!!! (did I mention that part? probably idk).

Again, I will take the first three people who express interest for absolutely free. You can respond to this announcement or message me directly, either one works. Thanks for reading and I hope to see some interest in the coming days !happy.png
