Progress by playing bots ?

as I took some time out playing bots to see what I could learn  from them 
/ part of my endeavour to finally beat Nora 
/ I encountered a bot hindering my progress 
/ or, more truthfully : showing me the limits of my abilities in some of the most painful ways 
/ so far I have beaten all the other available bots fairly easy, but Isabel remains invulnerable 
 
/ my rating in "Rapid" has improved to over 600, with some room for improvement 
/ but it is still not sufficient to play properly, I imagine ... 
/ and bot-wise, I can not seem to pass 1600 (for the moment)
/ I do need to improve on openings and dealing with those early knight attacks 

/ a long road ahead ?
