When the game rhymes…?
Sometimes, you play a game of chess that is just weird. I played such a game today during a break at work. We both ended up with some odd positions, and perhaps played somewhat chaotically. More than that, as per the title of this video, the themes and positions in this game between my opponent and me seemed to rhyme with some unusual mirrored positions that you’d not normally see in a game.
This game was strange from the start with a protean opening that transposed to four different named openings in the first five moves! And then on move 5 of what was supposed to be the quiet game of the Giuoco Piano, we have an unexpected and aggressive gambiting of a whole bishop! Games like these is what makes playing other humans fun as a computer would never play such imaginative moves.
I hope you enjoyed this video, and thanks for watching!
