Learning To CRUSH The Queen's Gambit
Good morning fellow blunder enthusiasts! My name is Will, I'm an aspiring amateur Chess Person and at this point in time Chess has me by the jugular, so much so in fact that I've decided to break new ground by creating my first blog post.
I thought that I'd drop you a line in order to inform you of my latest YouTube video as this is of course thinly veiled self-promotion (as could be argued are most blog posts).
"But wait!" Will cries in desperation as your mouse strays towards the close icon, this post is ALSO intended to serve as a plea for feedback on said video and the accompanying series.
HERE'S THE PROPOSAL
I am in the process of creating and posting a carefully curated selection of well crafted videos that aim to entertain and, more importantly, inform the viewer.
I, as a lowly 1200 Elo Chesser, would like to use these videos to spark discourse in the hope that the resulting conversations, alongside the video content itself, shall enable other amateur Chessers like me to progress in tandem! Now wouldn't that be a lovely thing?
I am currently trialling, collating feedback and improving my videos accordingly! I hope that this can become a nice entry level series aimed at amateur players presented by an amiable, bald chap who wants nothing more than to cultivate a friendly community of Chess enablers.
Oh! This particular video is on The Queen's Gambit Declined and features a game that I was particularly proud of! I utilised a set-up that I'd learned from Levy's new book, isn't that cool?
Will's Video
I hope that this post finds you well regardless of its reception and I wish you good Chessing!
Much love,
Will (The One Who Be Live)
