We’re thrilled to announce this year’s Virtual Charity Gala for the Women in Chess Foundation!
Join us on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at 15:00 CET for a whole day of exciting events, featuring top players, streamers, prizes and YOU!
Last year’s fundraising stream helped us raise enough to support our main programs throughout the year - the Advocacy Initiative and the WICF-Chessable Scholars program.
This year we've trained dozens of advocates in over 40 countries, who are working hard to make chess tournaments as safe and comfortable as they can be.
Through the Scholars Program, we've provided coaching to 11 talented young girls from all over the world, with Chessable courses and weekly lessons by GM Arturs Yusupov and WIM Luciana Morales.
In 2025 we want to do even more - but we need your help.
On January 4th, from 15:00 CET until Midnight, we'll be putting on our fundraising extravaganza stream.
WICF board member Nigarhan will be hosting the show and leading you through all of the fun.
The day will be packed with exciting events -
- A prize arena, with Chessable courses and more to win
- MrDodgy losing at chess to a special guest
- A team of streamers will take on our scholars in a match
- Prizes for donations - top donors can win lessons with elite players, merch and even a chess board signed by Magnus Carlsen himself
- Special guests - top GMs, streamers and more
- A super sub battle - last year's sub battle saw Hikaru Nakamura vs Maxime Vachier-Lagrave!
